Synopsis

A young man with old-fashioned clothes is riding his bike along an old dirt road. A sad girl is browsing her pictures on a PC. Then she abruptly presses Delete.

Director's note

I think about consequences. I think about consequences when I see people acting crazy in moments of hardship. I am sure that everybody has thrown stuff away only to regret it deeply afterwards. We try to erase the memories that hurt. At times it's easy to forget; at others coincidence confuses and puzzles us. Nothing goes to waste in nature, they say. Where, then, are all the moments we choose to delete? It's a tricky question, let's admit it.

I myself delete and throw things in the bin: dark thoughts and bad moments, empty bottles, boring people and dull stories, piles of paper with useless scribble, relationships, apple cores and ashtrays brimming over with stubs...

Where do all the useless memories go? Are they deleted without a trace? Or maybe somebody can play with them? Why do we people remember some things and others — not? Is it a game of fate? Is it a system failure? Maybe.

Biography & filmography

Biography

Born on Sunday, 19^th of October 1980 in Sofia. Graduated from the National Classical Lyceum. Studied Directing for Screen. Worked as porter, freelance designer, postman, assistant director, photographer, scriptwriter, film editor, wall-destroyer, copywriter, dyer, production assistant, grocer, executive producer. His graduate short film Delete won several awards, participated on many international film festivals across Europe & Africa and has been broadcasted over all the Spanish-speaking countries by RTVE & TUEVE. In 2009 he became one of the founders of Revo Films — independent production company & short film label based in Sofia, Bulgaria. Dealt with preparation, production & direction of short fiction and documentary films. Currently working on Wonderful days at Northeast (documentary in post-production), Grapefruit (project for short fiction film in development) and Stories for Money (project for feature film in development).
