Magicians won the Best Bulgarian Short Film Award of Filmini 3.0

Great news! The last short film of our associated director Andrey Getov won the National Competition Award of the third edition of the International Short Film Festival Filmini.

The International Jury honoured Magicians for it’s daring artistic and poetic vision.

Now Andrey Getov and the cinematographer Ivan Vatsov have the opportunity to shoot their next short on 16mm film stock thanks to the 2000 euros grant given by Kodak Cinelabs Bulgaria.

Anything For You is selected for Jameson Award

Anything For You, dir. Toma Waszarow, is selected among 96 films to participate in the Jameson Short Film Award of the 13^th edition of Sofia International Film Festival, held in Sofia from 5 to 15 March 2009.

New short film is coming

Simeon Tsonchev is working on Andrey Getov’s diploma short film with called Magicians.

Andrey has decided to shoot a short story, based on Daniil Kharms’s play “Elizaveta Bam” (1927). Some famous Bulgarian actors are involved in this ambitious project: Ioana Bukovska, Kitodar Todorov, Lyubomir Vulchev & Alexander Goncharov.

Andrey Getov will use the first class camera equipment Red One, provided by Forward Pictures.

The two days of shooting will take place in Sofia and at the Vrana Castle on 29 and 30 November 2009.
